The West Bottoms offers the perfect backdrop for photographing vintage automobiles. Early on Sunday morning, October 16, 2011, I took some pictures of this 1959 Volkswagen Beetle belonging to a fellow VW enthusiast that I met through the MoKan VW Club. It was not a perfect sunny day and the skies are rather grey and overcast. Nevertheless, the photos convey the industrial feel of the West Bottoms.

Two years later, on September 8, 2013, several VWs belonging to members of the MoKan VW Club participated in a car show at the West Bottoms. Being the semi-official event photographer of the Club, as well as the proud owner of Casper, the 1971 VW Camper Bus, I participated in this event and took photos as well. Below are those pictures that did not include any recognizable people. The day started out with a slight drizzle but the sun broke through the clouds later in the day.
